I am Charles Mlaklak, a passionate human development mentor based in Lihir Island, New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea. My mission is simple: to walk alongside students and adults as they discover their God-given potential.
Growing up in PNG, I understand the unique challenges our communities face — from limited access to quality education, to navigating personal and professional growth in a rapidly changing world. These experiences drove me to become the mentor I wish I had.

From the shores of Lihir Island to becoming a dedicated mentor — here's how my path unfolded.
Born and raised in Lihir, New Ireland Province, Papua New Guinea, I grew up in a close-knit community shaped by tradition, resilience, and a deep desire to see our people succeed. Early on, I recognised the untapped potential in those around me.
I discovered my passion for human development through personal struggles and triumphs. I learned that with the right guidance, resources, and mindset, every individual — regardless of background — can rise above their circumstances and build a meaningful life.
I began mentoring students and adults in Lihir informally — sharing what I had learned about goal setting, personal discipline, and living purposefully. The transformation I witnessed in others fuelled my commitment to formalise this work.
Today, I serve the Lihir and New Ireland community as a dedicated Human Development Mentor, conducting workshops, coaching sessions, and community talks. My goal is to see PNG's next generation rise with confidence, skills, and purpose. This is just the beginning.
